Moruya High School has the proud distinction of being the first school to offer secondary education for students in the Eurobodalla Shire.

Beginning as a Central School in 1944, then as an Intermediate High School in 1955, Moruya High School was established in 1966, commencing on the same site as Moruya Public School before occupying its present location in 1970.
