The junior HSIE programme consists of mandatory Geography for years 7 and 8, where global patterns and global issues are investigated. At this time the geographical skills necessary for the School Certificate are introduced and students undertake yearly and half yearly exams to monitor their understanding.

In years 9 and 10 the School Certificate course changes to Australian Geography and students enter the NSW Geography Competition as part of their assessment schedule. Throughout years 7 to 10 students learn geographical skills, essay skills necessary for success in the school certificate.

Commerce is also offered to years 9 and 10. Students gain a basic understanding of business, finance, law and government which engender basic skills essential for modern living.

The senior courses offered are Business Studies, Geography and Legal Studies. These humanities subjects provide a solid understanding of society and its systems, leading to consolidation of skills and understanding of issues which form the basis of many tertiary undergraduate courses.
