Thirty-five Year 11 Students along with Mr and Mrs Roman, Ms Constable and Miss Hackett, were all very excited as they travelled down to Perisher for the week, for their eagerly awaited snow trip.  The trip has been an annual excursion for all Year 11 students at the school for many years now.

Students chose to take part in either skiing or snowboarding, and were put into groups graded on their experience and ability. In the first few days many of the students were falling all over the place, there were even two broken wrists on the first day in the snow, but they all came away from the camp with tremendous skills.

The student’s responsibility, spirit, strength building, and organisation skills were also tested during the week at the snow. Apart of the excursion included the choice of cooking for themselves, which needed much organisation and planning as well as bonding with each other. These skills will be helpful as the students go into their HSC year.

All of the students had a brilliant time at the snow, and Mrs Roman said, “It was one of the most successful snow excursions in recent years, the students really coped well out of their comfort zones”.
