Over the holidays, the old seating structure behind B block was renovated into an outdoor learning space. The structure was repainted and realigned, a bench style table was created around the entire structure, and we are currently awaiting 27 fixed stools to finish the project. Adjacent to the shelter we have created a yarning circle from large basalt boulders with a cultural dancing space to the side and 4 sandstone blocks that will be used for tool making and grinding. This is an exciting new space for indigenous and non-indigenous students to share and learn about indigenous knowledge outside of a traditional classroom setting. The SRC plans to utilise funds from last year to plant native plants around the space to enclose the areas.
